Back to business....

I'm back.

It's been over 4 months. I was swept away and got a little lost in something that was never meant to be from the beginning. But I'm a fixer, and I thought I could fix something that wasn't fixable. So I let it go yesterday. Broken.

It's sunny out and in the mid 50's as I sit here in a cute little coffee house two blocks off the beach in Pismo Beach, CA. As I sit here writing, I feel free. Letting go is hard for us "fixers," but I feel relieved that I finally thought of Angela's feelings for once and not someone else's.

I have two days to occupy myself as my friend (since 5th grade) and her husband are at work. I'm excited.

I have my camera and a backdrop of incredible rolling hills and the ocean surrounding me.

I love California. If you know me, you know this. It's a tough place to live though and I have come to the conclusion in the last week that it is just not the right time for me to move back. One day though.......maybe........hopefully.

Okay, my "free internet time" is running out and I have lots of exploring to begin.......

unexpected things are gooooood.

I love this photo.

I love the colors. I love the painterlyness. It makes me happy.

The funny thing about life is that it is completely unexpected. One moment you love someone or someplace and then the next day you wake up and those feelings have changed.

New, interesting and inspiring people enter your life. And things change.

I love this part of life. It completely fascinates me.

.............THINGS PUTTING A SMILE ON MY FACE RIGHT NOW................

- I have a new tennis partner. :) My old one was good, but flakey. My new one is just good. :)

- Two weeks until B moves here. One of my closes friends will be a phone call away from going and getting tea and venting about the day. It's so weird. She's been trying to move here for years and she finally is. This will change Nashville even more. Could be a good thing for me right now.

- I'll be in NYC in two weeks and then in LA in four.

Those are the main things. There are a couple more, but I'll just keep those inside right now..... ;)

i live in a swamp.

Golriz and I are two peas in a pod.

We love fashion.
We love photography.
and....
We will do anything in the name of capturing a classic moment. Like piss off the sales women.

Case in point to the right. The UGLIEST pants I've ever seen that of course I HAD to try on.

Ode' to the creative, fearless woman.

Today wasn't the best day.......but hot damn to those pants.

No playa hatin' ladies....

It's a sauna out there....

I want to go outside and go for a hike, but I'm afraid if I step outside from the comfort of my air conditioned casa I may melt. Seriously. My friend just called and said it was 102 on the ole thermometer. No thank you! I HATE summers in the south. I honestly just hate heat in general.......always have.

"I'm dying of heatation." ~ Angela age 14.

Loving this new lil' blogger site by the way. So much more up my alley.

I'm really fickle right now. For the last 3 weeks to be exact. I have no idea what I want to do with myself........except travel.
But, since that won't start happening till the end of the month I'll just keep on keepin on here in "the sauna."

Courtney has badass floor lamps.

Here's to Saturday nights with great lighting and my camera.....

Something a little different....

I really don't like these sunglasses. I liked them in the store, but once I wore them out a couple times I decided that they just aren't me. Hence, this will be the last time you see them on my face. :)

Change is lovely. Not always.....but most of the time. This new home for my writing is the little bit of change I'm adding right now. A little extra something in this pot of monotony that has been brewing on my stove. Oh, yeh.....I also thought it would be a more interesting layout to write about all the upcoming trips I'll be going on in the next couple months.

Props to Golriz for the inspiration.

xoxo.

More to come....
